Retirement Eligibility for UARA Membership
a) Official retirees of the University of Arizona and their surviving spouses or surviving domestic partners.
b) Official retirees of entities recognized by the Executive Committee as being closely related to the University of Arizona (such as the Alumni Association employees).
c) The Executive Committee has the option to accept members outside the constituent groups described above.
An official retiree is anyone that is formally retired from the UA.
Benefits of Joining UARA
Special university benefits and additional UARA benefits are listed here. To receive the university benefits you have to be at least 50 years of age and completed 5 years of continuous, full time employment immediately preceding retirement. The UARA benefits are available for anyone meeting membership eligibility (see above).
Membership is $20 annually, $80 for 5-Years, or $250 for lifetime.
Renewals are due by June 30 for the fiscal year beginning July 1. You will be notified in a letter when it is renewal time. Lifetime members will also receive the letter in case they wish to make any changes in their address or methods of contacting them. If you were a member and then stopped paying dues, and now want to rejoin - complete a membership application - AND indicate you were a past member and are rejoining.
